Hey, how about that Fox News, huh?

By David Blackmon, DB Daily Update

Yesterday, leftist Fox host Neil Cavuto cut away from White House spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany about 30 seconds into her opening statement. The reason why Cavuto cut away? Because she truthfully said that Biden/Harris and their fellow Democrats of “welcoming fraud” and “welcoming illegal voting”.

Given that each and every instance of blatant voter fraud we have witnessed over the past 8 days was suborned or outright created by Democrat operatives, McEnany’s statement is manifestly true. Frankly, that statement has been true of every election held in this country since the Democrat Party was born. It is a fact of American life that only the willfully ignorant or pathetically stupid even bother to dispute anymore.

Tucker Carlson, in his opening monologue last night, took a not-so-veiled shot at Cavuto and his pathetic antics. From a story at Mediaite:

Tucker Carlson seemed to take a shot at his Fox News colleague Neil Cavuto — who made headlines earlier in the day by cutting out of a news conference with White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany with a scathing dismissal of the voter fraud conspiracies she was pushing.

During his opening monologue Monday night, Carlson made a vague comment in relation to the evidence-free election fraud claims being pushed by President Donald Trump’s campaign.

“In a democracy, you can’t ignore honest questions from citizens,” Carlson said. “You can’t dismiss them out of hand is crazy or immoral for asking. You can’t just cut away from coverage you don’t like.”[End]Carlson has a history of hitting back at Cavuto and other execrable Fox hosts whenever they put on their on-air auditions for a job at CNN. Carlson can get away with doing this given that, until this past week, his show was the highest-rated on cable TV.

Unfortunately for Carlson and Fox News in general, those heady days came to a screeching halt last week as Fox’s election coverage was so obviously in the tank for Biden and the Democrats that it has caused a mass flight of Trump supporters away from the channel to NewsMax and OAN.

From a piece at the National Pulse: Last Friday’s ratings for the supposedly “conservative” outlet were less than both CNN and MSNBC for the first time in years, according to an internal Fox document containing viewership analytics. The numbers show that on November 6th, Fox pulled 2,266,000 viewers while CNN saw nearly twice as many at 4,009,000 viewers. Similarly, MSNBC, per Fox’s internal numbers, counted 2,983,000 viewers, beating Fox by over 700,000 viewers.

[End]

Yikes. This is not only the result of Fox’s making a call for Biden in Arizona while voters there still stood in lines waiting to vote: This mass exodus has been a long, long time in the making, as Fox has chosen to feed viewers steadily-rising doses of leftist pablum from a growing army of paid leftist contributors like Donna Brazile, Marie Harf, Chris Wallace and Juan Williams.

The Arizona call did serve as sort of catalyst for Fox’s audience collapse, as did its election coverage in general, which paled in comparison to CNN’s. John King and Wolf Blitzer just ran circles around the insipid Bill Hemmer and Bret Baier on Election Night, exposing once again a fundamental weakness that has lingered for well over a decade now and which Fox management obviously has no intention of ever addressing.

The simple truth about Fox News is that it has been trending steadily leftwards since Roger Ailes was run off and Paul Ryan was added to its board of directors. Fox no longer has much of what could be truthfully called a “news division” anymore, and has become little more than a platform for a bunch of untalented hacks who serve as its hosts to hawk their latest ghost-written books and fake Fox polls.

Carlson remains an island of sanity in Fox’s lineup, and Maria Bartiromo, Charles Payne and Lou Dobbs continue to do great work on Fox Business. Otherwise, the place is a wasteland filled with annoying, incessant self-promoters like Sean Hannity and untalented hacks who are too numerous to name.

Bottom line: Conservative thinkers out here in Flyover Country made Fox News, and the flight of conservative thinkers out here in Flyover Country will end up killing it. That’s life.

Adios, Fox. Well done, Cavuto. I’m now watching NEWSMAX and replaced Twitter with Parler, too. Never have given a hot damn about Fakebook and their crooked CEO Zuckerdick. Hey, Tucker, swing on over to NEWSMAX. Your views are no longer welcome at Fox. – The Liberator
