The Left Wouldn’t Understand

But we on the Right do…

A worker at Arlington National Cemetary went above and beyond the job to help an elderly World War II veteran pay respects to his late wife.

George Boone took an Honor Flight from North Carolina to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and had requested a few minutes to visit the grave of his wife Alma for what will likely be the last time. The two were married for 56 years when Alma passed away in 2007.

His visit almost hit a snag when his wheelchair got left behind. Boone had accepted that he would only be able to pay his respects from a distance telling Fox5, “I just sort of gave up on the whole thing and thought I would have to visit her from that distance.”

That’s when a cemetery employee stepped up and offered to give the 96-year-old veteran a lift to her grave. The employee who wished to remain anonymous put Boone and his back and carried him to Alma’s grave.

“I thought — carry me at my age, size and weight?

Boone said he was overwhelmed by the kindness of the worker.

“I would like him to know how greatly I appreciate what he did. His kindness was overwhelming.”

Boone served as a B-24 pilot during World War II and was taken prisoner after being shot down over Romania in 1943.

The Left will never understand the absolute necessity for war. Sadly, war is the nature of man, and we can choose to hide until the enemy finds us or we can arm up and deliver death and destruction upon them until they are defeated.
