New Mexico’s Michelle Lujan Grisham Freed Convict Early from Prison Who then Murdered Ex-Girlfriend

John Binder, Breitbart

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D), running against Republican Mark Ronchetti in the state’s highly contested gubernatorial race, helped free a convicted criminal early from prison who went on to murder his ex-girlfriend.

During Wednesday evening’s gubernatorial debate, Ronchetti called out Grisham for her record of releasing hundreds of convicts early from prison while her appointees on the parole board have also helped free dozens of convicts from prison on early release.

Ronchetti noted the case of 27-year-old Christopher Beltran, who had been serving time in New Mexico prison when Grisham’s parole board granted him early release as part of her executive order that freed about 700 convicts from prison since April 2020.

Following Beltran’s early prison release, he went to the home of his former girlfriend, Dominique Gonzales, where he shot and killed her. Just last month, Beltran pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Gonzales’s death. Ronchetti said during the debate:

[Chris Beltran’s] story is shocking. He was released early from prison and then he was on the phone from prison, before being released, talking … to his girlfriend saying he was coming to get her and he would get a gun within two days and he would come to her front door.

“He made good on that promise. He showed up at her door four days later and shot her,” Ronchetti said.

In addition to Beltran, Grisham’s parole board also helped free early from prison a convict involved in the largest fentanyl bust in American history. Members of the cartel associated with the fentanyl bust actually told the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that they chose New Mexico for their operation because of its lax criminal penalties.

Others released early from prison by Grisham include those convicted for robbery, extreme cruelty to animals, and drug dealing.

He’s a murderer. Society should never see him in public again, regardless of how the mission is accomplished: capital punishment, life in prison without parole, a shiv while in prison…they all get the job done. – The Liberator

Just Stop Oil Activists Defile Van Gogh’s Sunflowers with Canned Soup

Simon Kent, Breitbart

Two climate campaigners managed to evade security at the National Gallery in central London on Friday before defiling Vincent Van Gogh’s celebrated masterpiece Sunflowers by tipping a can of soup across the glass protecting the canvas.

The Just Stop Oil activists, part of the Extinction Rebellion splinter group, walked into a room at the gallery in Trafalgar Square at about 11am, the campaign group said. They threw the contents of two tins of Heinz tomato soup over the famous 1888 painting, which has an estimated value of £72.5m ($84.2m).

They were not taken into custody until they delivered a sermon on energy use and the “unfair” distribution of global wealth.

A video shows the two women wearing Just Stop Oil t-shirts gluing one hand each to the wall below the painting.

One of the climate change activists, 21 year-old Phoebe Plummer, then shouted: “What is worth more? Art or life?

The pair were later arrested for criminal damage and aggravated trespass, before officers began “de-bonding” their hands they had glued to the wall.

It’s the 14th day of demonstrations linked to the group – which wants the government to stop all new oil and gas licences.

The group’s activists have been blocking roads around Westminster and elsewhere in the capital in the last few days, as Breitbart London reported.

They have also blockaded oil depots and sprawled themselves across the road to prevent ordinary commuters from travelling in London as part of what they have described as an ongoing “occupation” until their demands are met.

These include no new oil or gas extraction licences are granted as well as a redistribution of global wealth is instigated to mitigate the inherent “unfairness” of wealth and ownership of “the means of production.”

Plummer expanded on their long list of complaints Friday morning by yelling: “Are you more concerned about the protection of a painting? Or the protection of our planet and people?

“The cost of living crisis is part of the cost of oil crisis.

“Fuel is unaffordable to millions of cold hungry families. They can’t even afford to heat a tin of soup,” she added, brandishing a tin.

The painting is one of seven Sunflowers works Van Gogh created in 1888 and 89, five of which are on display in galleries and museums across the world.

The artist created them to decorate his house in Arles, France, before a visit from his friend, the artist Paul Gauguin.

The gallery said his paintings of sunflowers are “are among Van Gogh’s most iconic and best-loved works”.

The action comes three months after members of the same group pasted paper over John Constable’s the Hay Wain in the same gallery.

Met Police Commander Karen Findlay, Major Ops and Public Order, said: “Both individuals who have committed criminal damage and aggravated trespass at the National Gallery have been arrested,” and said they are being debonded to take into custody.

“Wholly unacceptable behaviour, not tolerated,” she added, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Wholly unacceptable? Ya think?? These little lunatics are what you get when you fill their heads with bullshit and allow them to act out their anger. They should be glued to the wall of their jail cell and left there to die. Don’t try to tell ME that liberals aren’t nuts. They’re all nihilists, too. “My son works for a security company here in Phoenix. His company is always getting booked to work Democratic get togethers. They are required to have AR-15s at big events, and have to conceal carry a 9mm or larger at smaller more formal events. The Insanity of the Electric Vehicle Campaign

Toyota – A Dose of Reality

Japan’s Toyota is currently the world’s largest automaker. Toyota and Volkswagen vie for that title each year, each taking the crown from the other, as the market moves.

GM, America’s largest automaker, is about half Toyota’s size, thanks to its 2009 bankruptcy and restructuring.

Actually, Toyota is a major car manufacturer in the U.S. In 2016 about 81% of the cars it sold in the U.S. came off American assembly lines.

Toyota was among the first to introduce gas/electric hybrid cars with the Prius twenty years ago. The company hasn’t been afraid to change the car game.

All of this is to point out that Toyota understands both the car market and the infrastructure that supports the car market Probably understands better than any other manufacturer on the planet.

Toyota hasn’t grown through acquisitions as Volkswagen has, and it hasn’t undergone bankruptcy and bailout as GM has. Toyota has grown by building reliable cars and trucks for decades.

When Toyota offers an opinion on the car market it’s probably worth listening to. This week Toyota reiterated, “The world is not yet ready to support a fully electric auto fleet.

Toyota’s Robert Wimmer (head of energy & environmental research) said this week in testimony before the U.S. Senate, “If we are to make dramatic progress in electrification it will require overcoming tremendous challenges – challenges including : refueling infrastructure/battery availability /consumer acceptance / and affordability.”

Wimmer’s remarks come on the heels of GM’s announcement that it will phase out all gas internal combustion engines (ICE) by 2035.

Tellingly, both Toyota and Honda have so far declined to make any such promises. Honda is the world’s largest engine manufacturer (when you include : boats / motorcycles / lawnmowers / etc) Honda competes with Briggs & Stratton in those markets amid increased electrification of [traditionally gas powered] lawnmowers / weed trimmers /etc

While manufacturers have announced ambitious goals just 2% of the world’s cars are electric at this point.

Buyers continue to choose ICE over electric because of: price /range / infrastructure /affordability / etc. Only a small percentage of people would choose an electric car unless forced to buy

There are 289.5 million cars just on U.S. roads as of 2021. About 98 percent of them are gas-powered.

Toyota’s RAV4 took the top spot for purchases in the 2019 U.S market — Honda’s CR-V is second and GM’s top seller (Equinox) comes in at #4 behind the Nissan Rogue. GM only has one entry in the U.S.top 15. Toyota and Honda dominate – each with a handful in the top 15.

Toyota warns: the US electrical grid and infrastructure simply aren’t there to support the electrification of the private car fleet.

A 2017 U.S. government study found we would need about 8,500 strategically-placed charging stations to support a fleet of just 7 million electric cars.

That’s about six times the current number of electric cars.

But no one should be talking about supporting just 7 million cars.

We should be talking about powering about 300 million within the next 20 years if all manufacturers follow GM and stop making ICE cars.

We are gonna need a bigger energy boat to deal with connecting all those cars to the power grids a WHOLE LOT bigger boat

But instead of building a bigger boat we may be shrinking our boat. Power outages in California and Texas have exposed issues with power supplies even at current usage levels.

Increasing usage of wind and solar, both of which prove unreliable, has driven some coal and natural gas generators offline.

We will need much more generation capacity to power about 300 million cars if we’re all going to be forced to drive electric cars, and we will be charging them frequently. Every roadside gas station must be wired to charge electric cars and charging speeds must increase greatly

Current technology allows charges in “as little as 30 minutes” – but that best-case fast charging cannot be done on home power Charging at home (on alternating current) takes a few hours to overnight and will increase the home power bill.

That power, like all electricity in the United States, comes from generators using: natural gas /petroleum/coal/nuclear/wind/solar/or hydroelectric sources.

Even half an hour is an unacceptably long time to spend charging. It’s about 5 to 10 times longer than a gas pump takes Imagine big rigs with much larger tanks. Imagine the charging lines that would form every day if charge time isn’t reduced by 70 to 80 percent.

We can expect improvements but those won’t come without cost. Electrifying the auto fleet requires massive overhaul of the power grid and an enormous increase in power generation.

Toyota has publicly warned about this twice while its smaller rival GM is pushing to go electric. GM may be trying to win favor with those in power in California/ Washington / and in the media.

Toyota’s addressing reality, and they know what they are talking about.

Toyota isn’t saying none of this can be done. They are saying that conversations are not anywhere near serious and will not produce meaningful results.

Quote of the Day

“Look what I’ve gotten done. Name me a president in recent history who has gotten as much done as I have in the first two years. Not a joke. You may not like what I got done, but the vast majority of American people do like what I got done. “It’s a matter of, can you do the job? And I believe I can do the job.” – Joe Clueless Biden

“Joe Biden asked if any President has done more in the first two years of their administration. His first two years: record inflation, reckless spending, economy in recession, open borders, surging crime.” – Senate Republicans

No, Joe, the vast majority of Americans DON’T like what you’ve done. It’s a f***ing disaster. In fact, Joe, you are the living embodiment of “Liberals Are Nuts”. – The Liberator

FLASHBACK: Spurs’ Gregg Popovich on Christopher Columbus: ‘He Murdered, He Mutilated. He Took Slaves.’

Warner Todd Huston, Breitbart

As many Americans continue to celebrate Columbus Day, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was seriously triggered by the holiday last year, blasting Americans for celebrating “genocide,” “murder,” and “slavery.”

Popovich went on a tear last year on Oct. 10 — the day Americans have traditionally celebrated Columbus Day — and attacked the Italian icon from over five centuries ago.

“Columbus? He initiated a new-world genocide, that’s what he did,” Popovich ranted in a 2021 press conference. “Beginning with him, and what he said would follow, the annihilation of every indigenous person in Hispaniola, which was Haiti and the Dominican Republic today.”

“He took slaves, he mutilated, he murdered, and we’re going to say ‘slash’ and honor him?… It’s Columbus Day, that’s why they (schools) are off on Monday? Maybe there’s something I’m missing and I’m ignorant, but it makes me feel like they’re living in a phone booth, and they’re educating our kids. Columbus Day, and we’re going to honor that?”

Like most of his ilk, Popovich then went for the Hitler comparison.

“It’s like saying we should be proud of Hitler because we’re German, it makes no sense.”

WATCH:

Claiming Columbus is somehow the same as Hitler is just another example of the left’s lies.

Popovich wasn’t done attacking Columbus Day. That same year, the left-wing coach also excoriated the Alamo Heights Independent School District for recognizing Columbus Day, disgorging the same line of attack as he did in the press conference.

Curiously, the high and mighty, morally perfect Gregg Popovich has been utterly silent on the NBA’s multibillion-dollar partnership with China which is responsible for far worse human rights abuses than a dozen Christopher Columbuses could have wrecked.

China is responsible for murdering millions of people in its genocide against the Uyghurs, it typically enslaves millions of people to make western sportswear, and it routinely murders, mutilates, and tortures political dissidents.

Yet, the vaunted Gregg Popovich has been silent on these current, ongoing atrocities, preferring instead to attack someone who has been dead for five centuries.

Then LEAVE, asshole. And, yes, what about China, you hypocrite? – The Liberator
