McCarron-Walter Act Gives President the Power to Temporarily Suspend Immigration to Certain Ethnic Groups

Just to diffuse the anti Trump sentiment  Pat McCarren was a staunch Democrat.

I did not know of this Act until recently, but it has been a law for almost 65 years.

Here are the historic facts that would seem to indicate that many, if not most, of the people we elect to work for us in Washington DC do not have the slightest idea of what laws already exist in OUR country.

After several terrorist incidents were carried out in the United States, Donald Trump was severely criticized for suggesting that the U.S. should limit or temporarily suspend the immigration of certain ethnic groups, nationalities, and even people of certain religions (Muslims).

The criticisms condemned such a suggestion as, among other things, being Un-American, dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous and racist.

Congressmen and Senators swore that they would never allow such legislation, and our  President called such a prohibition on immigration unconstitutional.

As Gomer Pyle would say, “Well, Surprise, Surprise!” It seems that the selective immigration ban is already law and has been applied on several occasions.

Known as the McCarran-Walter Act, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 allows for the “Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by the President, whenever the President finds that the entry of aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States .

The President may, by proclamation, and for such a period as he shall deem necessary,  suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose any restrictions on the entry of aliens he may deem to be appropriate.”

Who do you suppose last used this process?

Why it was president Jimmy Carter, no less than 37 years ago, in 1979, to keep Iranians out of the United States .

But he actually did more.   He made ALL Iranian students, already in the United States , check in with the government. And then he deported a bunch of them.

Seven thousand were found in violation of their visas, and a total of 15,000 Iranians were forced to leave the USA in 1979.

So, what say you about all of the criticism that Donald Trump received from the Democrat Senators, Representatives and the Obama Administration?

Additionally, it is important to note that the McCarran-Walter Act also requires that an “applicant for immigration must be of good moral character and in agreement with the principles of our Constitution.”

Therefore, one could surmise that since the Quran forbids Muslims to swear allegiance to the U.S. Constitution, technically, ALL Muslims should be refused immigration to OUR country.

85,000 refugees under Obama, but less than 10 to D.C.

The Obama administration admitted nearly 85,000 refugees last year, the most since 1999, but less than 10 were settled in President Obama‘s backyard of Washington, D.C., or .01 percent, according to the State Department.

Overall, 84,995 refugees were accepted under Obama’s program of greatly expanding the program to include Syrians. About a quarter were settled in just three states, Texas, California and New York, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of the State Department data.

Washington, D.C., however, did not lead by example.

EDITOR’S NOTE: It is clear that the refugee program’s hidden agenda was to change the electoral demographics in favor of Democrats.

Obama Urges Soldiers to Question Trump’s Authority, ‘Criticize Our President’

Characterizing the military’s mission as a fight against “violent extremism,” Obama insisted that soldiers need to rise up against Trump if they feel he is pushing policies that are ill considered. Obama told the troops, “each of us has…the universal right to speak your minds and to protest against authority; to live in a society that’s open and free; that can criticize our president without retribution.”

Perhaps as President, Donald Trump may want to look into having Obama charged for violation of 18 U.S. Code § 2388 dealing with Activities Affecting The Armed Forces During War?…

(a) Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully makes or conveys false reports or false statements with intent to interfere with the operation or success of the military or naval forces of the United States or to promote the success of its enemies; or

Whoever, when the United States is at war, willfully causes or attempts to cause insubordination, disloyalty, mutiny, or refusal of duty, in the military or naval forces of the United States, or willfully obstructs the recruiting or enlistment service of the United States, to the injury of the service or the United States, or attempts to do so–

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Student Diagnosed With TB at Nebraska School Where 18 Percent Are Refugees

A student enrolled at Benson Magnet High School, one of seven high schools in the Omaha, Nebraska Public Schools system, was diagnosed with active tuberculosis (TB) in November. Two hundred thirty seven of Benson Magnet High School’s 1,273 students, or 18.6 percent, are refugees, according to Omaha Public School’s District English Language Learner/Refugee Report, 2015-16.

Officials with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and the Douglas County Public Health Department are withholding whether the student was foreign-born or American-born.

A number of Omaha’s refugee students were born in countries burdened by TB; Myanmar/Burma (617), Nepal (186), Somalia (140), and Bhutan (84).

As Breitbart News reported previously, foreign-born residents of Nebraska accounted for 82 percent of all cases of TB diagnosed in the state in 2014, much higher than the national average of 66 percent:

Eighty-two percent of the active tuberculosis (TB) cases diagnosed in Nebraska in 2014, that’s 31 out of 38, were foreign-born, according to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Only six percent of the 1.9 million residents of the Cornhusker State are foreign-born.

2014’s 38 active TB cases represented an 80 percent increase in active TB cases in the state in one year, up from 21 in 2013.

Another lovely parting gift from Barack Obama

Quote of the Year

“In America, on TV, Michelle Obama whines about how there is no hope now that Trump has been elected. Pretty good. She’s basically got the speaking and thinking skills of an eighth grader and she’s First Lady and went to Princeton. And she came out of nowhere to be First Lady. And she’s complaining.” – Ben Stein

EDITOR’S NOTE: It says everything about the Obamas. They are America’s first Affirmative Action Presidency apparently because millions of Americans suffered from some rare form of “white guilt” that needed to be assuaged. So, how did that work out for us?

EPA Makes an About-Face on Fracking Report

“After receiving comments from the [Science Advisory Board], EPA scientists concluded that the sentence could not be quantitatively supported. Contrary to what the sentence implied, uncertainties prevent EPA from estimating the national frequency of impacts on drinking water resources from activities in the hydraulic fracturing water cycle. Additionally, EPA scientists and the [Science Advisory Board], came to the conclusions that the sentence did not clearly communicate the findings of the report.” – EPA

“From what I’ve seen so far from the Trump administration, they don’t care about idiotic claims by people looking to advance their own skewed view of how the world should be, who want to meddle in everybody’s lives and everybody’s business,” Tomb added. “Most people want to live their lives, raise their families—all that can be done and has been done, while protecting the environment.” – Gordon Tomb, Pennsylvania Resident

The Radical Gay Agenda Takes a Hit

The Daily Signal
Heritage Foundation

Since 2014, The Daily Signal’s Harkness has closely tracked the story of Aaron and Melissa Klein, an Oregon couple who faced a $135,000 fine after refusing to bake a cake for a same-sex wedding. The Daily Signal’s 2015 video about the couple was viewed 4 million times on Facebook—our most popular ever.

That same year, Harkness also investigated Brad Avakian, commissioner of the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries. (A judge from the bureau recommended the Kleins’ $135,000 fine.) Her investigative reporting revealed that Avakian was corresponding with an LGBT advocacy group, which actively spoke out against the Kleins. The relationship raised questions about whether Avakian and other agency employees were using the Kleins’ case to pursue a political agenda.

Fast forward to this year when Avakian ran for Oregon secretary of state. Running as a Democrat in liberal Oregon, he lost his election. What’s even more remarkable: No Republican had held statewide office for two decades.

“The people of Oregon have spoken,” Aaron Klein told The Daily Signal. “Hopefully with the guy that won, we’ll see religious freedom start to grow in this state.”
