Bill Gates meets with Trump to promote “clean energy”

Billionaire Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates traveled to Trump Tower on Tuesday afternoon for a visit with President-elect Donald Trump.Earlier in the day, Gates praised Trump on CNBC for his message to make America a better place economically, and compared him to former President John F. Kennedy.
“In the same way President Kennedy talked about the space mission and got the country behind that, I think whether it’s education or stopping epidemics, other health breakthroughs, finishing polio and in this energy space, there can be a very upbeat message that his administration is going to organize things, get rid of regulatory barriers, and have American leadership through innovation.”
Gates revealed that he spoke with the president-elect on the phone after the election, and appeared upbeat that he would pursue “the power of innovation.”
But Gates spent most of his interview promoting his new initiative to move the world into a “green” clean energy future.
“I think this administration likes a good deal,” Gates said, signaling his hope that Washington D.C. would increase the research and development spending for cheap sources of clean energy.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Good grief, when are these elite know-it-alls going to give up on this idea of “clean energy”. It is so far from being economically or functionally capable of fueling the world’s energy needs. Sure, make it a “futures” project but let’s use what is sitting there waiting for us: Oil, Natural Gas and Coal.

Liberator: “You can say the same about worthless electric cars and add “Have you looked at how (not) far they go before they need a recharge?” All electricity is downstream from another power source, usually coal, oil or nuclear. It must be produced! It isn’t waiting underground for us to harvest like oil and natural gas, God’s gift to mankind! Wake up liberals, you are dead wrong on this clean energy campaign.”
Clean Energy Warrior: “You’re totally right, I wish there was some kind of magic source of energy we could use instead of coal and oil, like the sun or the wind or the tides. That would be great right?”
Liberator: “Yep, and I want YOU on the first transatlantic flight using any of those sources. You Looney Lefties have been barking up that tree and have cost the world TRILLIONS of dollars. And what do we have to show for it? One GIGANTIC government subsidy after another propping up that idea whose time has not yet come. There is plenty of oil and natural gas to last for a very long time. One last thing…I want you to think about your cute little comment the next time you get in your car or turn on a light or turn the thermostat up or down in your home.”
